Summary

This webinar will discuss congenital renal disorders in dogs and cats with a focus on juvenile onset chronic kidney disease (CKD) in dogs. Juvenile Onset CKD will first be discussed in terms of new semantics and recent changes in perspective of what is now considered a spectrum of diseases. We will then discuss the pathophysiology, diagnosis, implications for elective procedures, treatment, and prognosis in detail. Following this, additional content will be geared towards less common congenital renal diseases in both species, how they may present in a general practice setting, and when to pursue advanced diagnostics vs. supportive care.
