Delegates leave equipped to plan safe, effective full-mouth analgesia.

A Dentist’s Insight – Management of Oro-Facial Trauma

Speaker: Dr Aaron Forsayeth

Lecture Description: Oro-facial trauma looks dramatic, but most cases resolve well with sound technique. This session covers the essential anatomy of the rostral skull, soft tissue repair principles, and jaw fracture stabilisation – interdental wiring, acrylic splinting, suture fixation – illustrated through six clinical cases from presentation to healing. Delegates leave with a practical framework for triaging and repairing oro-facial injuries using techniques accessible in general practice.

Fractured Teeth – How to Assess Them and Treatment Options for Saving Them

Speaker: Dr Aaron Forsayeth

Lecture Description: Broken teeth are common but frequently overlooked or mismanaged. This session works through how to assess a fractured tooth, apply the AVDC classification system, and match treatment and prognosis to fracture type. A detailed step-by-step walkthrough of vital pulpotomy shows how freshly exposed pulp can be saved – giving delegates the confidence to intervene rather than watch and wait.
