Philip graduated from Massey University New Zealand in 1992, and spent 7 years in small animal practice before undertaking a residency and Masters degree program at the University of Melbourne. For over 20 years, Philip has worked in both university and private emergency practice. He has lectured extensively both within Australia, and internationally, has examined for the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists, and is a published author and expert in Australian snake envenomation. Philip is also co-founder and director of Vet Education Pty Ltd, and has written and delivered over 30 online courses to more than 4500 vets and vet nurses/technicians worldwide. Philip has a keen interest and passion for ventilation therapy, surgical emergencies, and envenomation therapy. Philip dedicates his non-work time to ultramarathon running, sea kayaking, and falling off his mountain bike.
