Jason Mouatt
BVSc FANZCVS
Dr. Jason Mouatt became a Specialist Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon in 2002 and joined Veterinary Specialist Services Brisbane in 2004, becoming Partner/DirectJason is a University of Queensland BVSc graduate. After a number of years in small animal / equine general practice, Jason returned to the University of Queensland to complete a 3 year Small Animal Surgery residency. Following this, he moved to Melbourne and spent 4 years training and teaching at the University of Melbourne Veterinary Teaching Hospital. He successfully completed ANZCVS Fellowship exams and became a registered specialist in Small Animal Surgery in 2002.
In 2004, Jason returned to Brisbane to work in private practice at Veterinary Specialist Services, and became an owner/director of VSS the following year. He has a broad range of experience in small animal surgery, with particular interests in joint replacement, neurosurgery and reconstructive surgery. He particularly enjoys any teaching opportunity with students, interns, residents and GPs. After more than 14 years at VSS, Jason took a break from clinical work in late 2018, spending the last year doing further training in human performance and behaviour, interlaced recently with blocks of teaching and clinical surgery at James Cook University Veterinary Hospital.
Terri Eurell
BVSc MANZCVSc Cert AVP
Doctor Terri Eurell graduated from James Cook University in 2011. She completed a rotating internship at Veterinary Specialist Services in 2012 and worked extensively throughout Australia and the United Kingdom as an emergency and critical care veterinarian before accepting a residency in emergency and critical care in 2017. Terri gained membership in emergency and critical care from the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Science in 2018, obtained a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice from Liverpool University in 2019 and completed her residency in 2020. She is due to sit board examinations for the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care in September 2020.
Terri has a special interest in emergency surgery, transfusion medicine and mechanical ventilation.
