Nutritionally-Mediated DCM in Dogs

Free Webinar brought to you by Hill’s Pet Nutrition USA – Clinical Series

Speaker
Dr. Michelle Rose

Who is it for?
Veterinarians
Start Date
December 10, 2019

Summary

By now, most veterinary professionals understand that there’s a link between BEG diets and atypical dog breeds developing dilated cardiomyopathy. To that end, how do we diagnose these patients, and even more importantly, follow up on them? This lecture will provide a cardiologist’s perspective on this issue, discuss the patient population at risk, and go over the FDA update.

After participating in this session, attendees will:
  • Be familiar with taurine’s role in nutritionally-mediated DCM.
  • Understand which screening and diagnostic tests are recommended.
  • Have a treatment and follow up plan for dogs affected by nutritional cardiomyopathy.

When is it?

Note: This webinar is being recorded. If you are unable to attend the live lecture, a link to the recording will be shared with you a few days following the lecture.
