Dr. Michelle Rose obtained her veterinary degree cum laude in 2004 from the University of Florida, and then completed an internship in small animal medicine & surgery at Texas A&M University. In 2006, she was accepted into University of Minnesota’s comparative cardiology residency and achieved board certification in 2009. She joined a specialty hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico from 2009-2013 and served as New Mexico’s first board-certified veterinary cardiologist. During this time, she developed her cardiology service into a busy practice, and also developed a love for teaching young veterinarians while serving as the hospital’s internship director. She returned to Minnesota in 2013 and has been working at the Animal Emergency and Referral Center since, which is a private practice in the suburbs of the Twin Cities with a team of 20 specialists and 19 ER doctors. She also serves as her hospital’s Director of Medical Specialties and continues to enjoy teaching interns and externs.
