Stephanie will show you how to get puppies walking on a loose leash and share her practical puppy socialisation and exposure training methods to help your puppy owners (and their puppies) navigate anything from cars and bikes to enjoying a coffee at a busy Cafe!

For over 15 years Victoria has dedicated her career to the pursuit of knowledge and excellence. Victoria passion for the continued development of the profession, and for incorporating technology to raise the standard of patient care, has seen her sought after to deliver seminars and workshops to both domestic and international audiences.
Victoria has advanced through the roles of Veterinary Nurse Manager, Practice Manager, Regional Manager, Training and Development Manager and Consultant with Animal Industries Resource Centre and Crampton Consulting Group. Vicky is now a Nutritional Consultant for Hill’s Pet Nutrition and is a proud Veterinary Technician Specialist in the field of Nutrition.

Heidi Knightley

Heidi is a qualified small animal and equine veterinary nurse and has a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. Heidi is currently employed as a Diagnostics Application Manager for Zoetis Australia and services clinics in southern NSW and the ACT. Previously Heidi was employed as the Nursing Manager at Cannon and Ball Veterinary Surgeons in Wollongong NSW, a small animal and exotics vet for almost 7yrs. Heidi has been a veterinary nurse for over 19years and has lectured all over Australia on exotic and avian medicine to veterinary nurses. Heidi grew up on a 200 acre farm so has a lifetime experience with animals’ great and small. Heidi has a particular interest in orthopaedics, animal nutrition, exotics medicine, mentoring/training new staff, lecturing, & online marketing.

Dr Philip Judge

BVSc MVS PG Cert Vet Clin Stud MACVSc (Vet. Emergency and Critical Care; Medicine of Dogs)

Philip graduated from Massey University in New Zealand in 1992, and spent 7 years in small animal practice before undertaking a 3-year residency in veterinary emergency and critical care at the University of Melbourne in 1998.

Following his residency, Philip worked for nearly 6 years at the Animal Emergency Centre in Melbourne, becoming the Senior Veterinarian at the centre in 2004. In 2006, Philip undertook a 1-year surgical externship before moving to Townsville to take up the position of Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care at JCU. Philip is also co-founder, and director of Vet Education Pty Ltd (www.veteducation.com) – one of Australia’s leading providers of online continuing education for veterinarians and veterinary nurses.

Philip has published numerous manuals and guides concerning emergency medicine, including a CRI manual, haematology and biochemistry interpretation guide, emergency anaesthesia guide, and a ventilation therapy manual for small animals, in addition to being published in peer reviewed literature.

Philip’s key interests in veterinary science include respiratory emergencies, ventilation therapy, envenomations and toxicology.

Dr Chantal Celindano
BVSc (hons) MANZCVS (feline medicine) ISFM AdvCertFB
Chantal is your run-of-the-mill crazy cat lady. She has worked at cat clinics in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and London over the last 18 years and holds her Membership in Feline Medicine, as well as her ISFM Advanced Certificate in Feline Behaviour – which has come in handy for her foster-fail, the eternally confused Tonkinese Meiko Nuggetini. She is a mentor for fellow cat fanatic vets sitting their exams and when not sleuthing for the next perfect pair of cat earrings, can be found dragging her husband and daughter to cat conferences at every given opportunity.

Bryony graduated in 2007 from Murdoch University in Perth. She worked as a veterinarian in small animal practice treating primarily dogs and cats for almost 7 years before moving to an industry role with Hill’s Pet Nutrition in 2015. She works as a Professional Development Veterinarian for South Australia and Western Australia and is passionate about nutrition in pets.

Stephanie Shaw

BA Linguistics and Animal Behaviour, Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services
Stephanie is an experienced and well-versed Assistance Dogs Instructor, with over 7 years of experience in the Assistance Dogs Industry. She is a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Linguistics and Animal Behaviour (Monash University) and holds a Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services through the Delta Society. Prior to joining this industry, Stephanie developed her wealth of Dog Psychology, Behaviour and training through working as an Obedience, Tricks and Agility Instructor at dog clubs & the RSPCA, teaching puppy classes at veterinary clinics and dog schools. She has also managed her own private dog training business specialising in reactive/aggressive dogs. In her over 7 years of experience in the Assistance Dogs industry, Stephanie was involved in puppy education supervision, supporting volunteers who gave the best start to the puppies’ journeys, assisted with the whelping of purpose-bred puppies, trained dogs in support skills for kids with disabilities such as Autism Assistance Dogs and was also involved with instructing clients receiving their assistance dogs.

Stephanie’s current role at ADA involves the Advanced Training of Victorian based Assistance Dogs, as well as instructing clients upon their assistance dogs placement.
