Dr Natasha Wilks is a Veterinarian with over 20 years experience working
predominantly in small animal practice in Australia and the UK. Natasha
completed her Executive Coach training in 2007 and is also a certified Social
and Emotional Intelligence Coach. Natasha completed a Certificate in
Applied Positive Psychology in 2017 and is a facilitator in the B3 Bounce
Back Better Resilience Program.
Natasha has presented at many veterinary conferences and works with clients
and veterinary teams in Australia and throughout the world via her training
and online programs. Natasha is also a speaker for Beyondblue.
Natasha created High Performance Vets to help veterinarians reach their full potential in their
career. Being successful in practice involves more than professional skills. Veterinarians must also
develop a growth mindset, be resilient in the face of many challenges, learn to manage stress and
their time, build rapport with clients, have excellent communication and leadership skills and fit
well within a team. It’s no wonder veterinarians lose their passion for practice.
Natasha is passionate about utilising neuroscience, coaching and positive psychology principles to
help veterinarians develop the skills to overcome the many challenges in our profession as well as
improve their wellbeing to thrive, personally and professionally.
Natasha still enjoys small animal practice and works two days each week using everything she
teaches. This results in high energy, productive days, loving her clients and the team while enjoying
satisfaction and fulfilment in practice.
